Explore the National Parks

National parks are having a serious moment, and rightfully so. There are 60 national parks across the US—all of which will blow you away in their own unique way. Whether you’re an adventurer, nature-lover or big city slicker in need of a green oasis, National Parks provide experiences of all kinds and are full of natural wonders waiting to be discovered.

Since we don’t have the space to highlight every National Park, we’ll settle for four around the country that should top your bucket list.

Joshua Tree National Park
CALIFORNIa

So-Cal’s desolate oasis has been gaining a lot of traction in recent years. For starters, the park’s namesake, the Joshua Tree, is something straight out of a Dr. Seuss illustrated book. Straddling the Colorado and Mojave Desert, J-Tree is home to various cacti and brilliant wildflowers blanketing the otherwise khaki-colored landscape. Whether you seek rock climbing massive boulders, hiking the rugged mountain trails or pitching a tent beneath a black desert sky of twinkling stars, there is truly an activity to keep anyone occupied!

Glacier National Park

MONTANA

This truly remarkable park tucked away in Montana’s Rocky Mountains is an outdoor enthusiasts' dream. With miles of glacier-carved mountains, snow-capped peaks, untouched lakes, wildflower meadows and winding rivers, Glacier National Park is bound to be the adventure of a lifetime. Also a natural wonder, this is one of North America’s few remaining intact ecosystems.

BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK

TEXAS

Mountains, deserts, canyons, oh my! An outstanding playground for nature lovers, Big Bend National Park rests on the border with Mexico, separated by, none other than, a big bend in the Rio Grande river. While adventuring the mountain oasis in southwest Texas, you can soak in the natural hot springs, uncover ghost town ruins and make a quick stop at the Fossil Discovery Exhibit. It’s definitely a park worth visiting!

SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK

VIRGINIA

If you find yourself near the nation’s capital, Shenandoah National Park is surprisingly close and simply not to be missed. Hike the infamous Appalachian Trail and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mostly forested, the park is home to crisp waterfalls, murky rivers and tree line views of an expansive ocean of green.
